Megan is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has worked with adolescents and adults in the university setting, office environment, residential therapy setting, and through career coaching. Megan has an interest in helping those experiencing life transitions and navigating trauma, attachment, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and grief. She really enjoys helping young adults and professionals that are trying to find their sense of self and process attachment. Megan also has experience helping young adults and adults explore their values and identify their career interests. Megan focuses on utilizing a person-centered approach, developing the counseling relationship, and integrating in elements of CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness techniques. Megan focuses on creating an interactive and open therapeutic space through activities like worksheets, art, and creative writing. Megan is an ally for the LGBTQIA+ community and is actively educating herself on anti-racist principles and collaborating with others to better support BIPOC clients. Megan loves spending time in nature with her partner and pup, hiking, backpacking, and trail running. She hopes to visit all of the national parks at some point and has already checked a few off. In her spare time she also helps people with job searching and resume building. Her favorite outlet is being outside, singing in the car, and creative writing.
