Rachel Hampton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA) in North Carolina. She recently moved from Georgia where she provided therapy services to children and families in crisis. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia in 2021, and she has three years of experience working with and advocating for children, teens, and families.
Rachel is passionate about working with teens and adults who have experienced trauma due to child maltreatment, teens in foster care, and clients learning to navigate mental health diagnoses such as depression and anxiety, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. In the therapy room, she emphasizes building rapport and creating a warm, inclusive environment to help you feel comfortable being your authentic self. Using a person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach, she will work with you to develop a holistic treatment plan that fits your unique circumstances and goals. Rachel works with clients to develop valuable coping skills and to understand how their body and environment play a part in their mental health.
Advocacy and social justice are important to Rachel personally and as a clinician. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and she educates herself on practices to ensure she's working towards being an ally to the BIPOC and other marginalized communities. In her free time she enjoys watching tv, playing video games, reading, and exploring the mountains with her partner and their dogs.
